Hotel was very impressive, was expecting small rooms and old decor but it has been updated alot. Parking fees were a joke. Concert going on had to Valet 4.00 more than regular parking, no discount for guest staying multiple nights and no assigned parking for guests only. Would go back again even though.

The worst hotel stay in my life. The walls are nothing more than a sturdy curtain. My son and I listened to a guest in the next room grunt because the walls are so nothing more than an illusion of a barrier. The bed was hard the pillow was soft and nice. The carrot cake in the "cafe" was quite lovely. Pay $* for the worst no sleep night of my life.

We just spent one night at the Queen Mary. The ship is definitely an interesting tour, especially the "haunted" tours. If you've got an overactive imagination like me, do NOT take the tour the night you'll be sleeping on the ship. Worst night of sleep ever as I was convinced there was "something there." Other than that, the room itself was small but decently decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was larger than expected. Be sure to stay on the 'starboard' side so you face the water.

My 2 sons and I just had a terrific stay on The Queen Mary Hotel. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us to the Deluxe Family Room, and the accomodations were outstanding, including the HD TV, the second room connecting to the first room by a hallway, the bed and the sheets were extremely comfortable, the view of the water and Long Beach downtown out of the two port holes (windows), and ofcourse, the original wooded walls and closets (the bath tub is also original). We stayed there because my youngest (9) is into the paranormal, being a fan of the kids show "The Other Siders". Walking the ship (hotel) is magnificant. We additionally got to go on the Ghosts and Legends tour for free, using the reward certificate from Tropicana (Orange Juice) points. Both my sons enjoyed the tour (and the entire stay), though the tour included special effects which I wasn't expecting. I also personally enjoyed having a drink in the original bar, imagining how much of a cosmopolitan clientel the bar must have had when the ship was in service. I highly recommend The Queen Mary Hotel for families (as an adventure), as well as for couples (as for romance), though I can't imagine staying there for more than 2 nights unless the hotel was actually being used as a ship for adventures elsewhere in the world.
